IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES
=============================

1) Installation is recommended on a machine running 
Windows 2000 or XP but should also work under Windows 98.

2) Do not plug in the RTE2501 / RTE8000 passport 
reader via the USB interface before installing 
these drivers.

3) Run the supplied installation executable 
(RT_USBDrivers_v1.00.exe) to install the drivers.

4) Plug in the passport reader via the USB interface 
after installation. If prompted for

"Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software?" 

then select the "No, not this time" option.

When prompted for any drivers - follow the on-screen 
instructions. Select the "Install the software automatically" 
or "search for best driver" option if prompted.
